Job Description

Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.

DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently employing over 800 staff to implement emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs.

DRC is currently looking for a Code of Conduct Coordinator ( CoC Investigator) to join the team in Kyiv.

This position will report to the Country Director.

About the job

The Code of Conduct holds the values and rules that DRC and its Staff, and Partners, shall act by to uphold and safeguard the necessary standards of conduct and to avoid misconduct.

The Code of Conduct Coordinator (CoC Investigator) plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation, awareness, and enforcement of DRC’s Code of Conduct across all staff and partners. This position focuses on promoting understanding of the Code of Conduct, managing the reporting mechanism, and leading timely investigations into any reported misconducts.

As a CoC Investigator, you will ensure that all staff and partners working for DRC are familiar with the Code of Conduct and the associated reporting mechanism. You will update and distribute visibility and training materials across all offices and serve as the primary point of contact for any inquiries regarding the reporting mechanism. When misconduct is reported, you will lead investigations at the country level and support regional and HQ colleagues if they are the lead investigators on a case.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Act as the primary Code of Conduct focal point for the country, providing technical guidance on the reporting mechanism.
  • Conduct training sessions across the country on the Code of Conduct and its reporting mechanism.
  • Ensure that training materials and awareness-raising resources are current and visible in all offices across Ukraine.
  • Lead and support investigations under the Code of Conduct Reporting Mechanism (COCRM) related to alleged breaches of the Code of Conduct, collaborating with regional and HQ counterparts.
  • Compile detailed and well-documented reports on investigation findings.
  • Recommend corrective actions and preventive measures to mitigate future risks.

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have 3 years of experience in a relevant professional field and have a strong sense of personal integrity and understanding of confidentiality and ethics.

Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required

  • Familiarity with topics regarding to gender-based violence and protection of vulnerable populations.
  • Comfortable in speaking about sensitive topics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with staff members, and partner organisations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook/Exchange, Windows operating systems.
  • Strong English language skills.
  • Ukrainian language skills required.
